The East-West Management Institute (EWMI), with the generous support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), has been working since 2010 to improve the lives of the citizens of Georgia. EWMI’s programs, implemented in coordination with a broad variety of Georgian, European and multi-national governmental and non-governmental organizations, has helped over 450 Georgian community-based and national organizations protect and improve healthcare, education, and the environment for many thousands of Georgia’s most vulnerable people, including children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
It is unfortunate that some see training on civic activism as a risk rather than contributing to the aspirations of Georgian citizens. Despite such misplaced criticism, EWMI remains dedicated to continuing its collaboration with the committed groups and individuals with whom we work throughout Georgia, including from the cultural sector, to address the most pressing needs of the Georgian people. We urge our counterparts, beneficiaries, and all Georgians to continue working with us to establish a more prosperous, safe, and democratic Georgia for future generations.
